Vinay Kumar came to HEAL at the age of four along with his mother and three-year-old brother. Their father had committed suicide because of too many debts. Their mother worked as a house-mother in the HEAL Children's Village at Guntur.
Vinay and his younger brother were both very bright and took well to their studies from the beginning. After the completion of schooling, Vinay did his +2 Examination and after that took a three-year degree course in Commerce with Chartered Accounting.
He wants to become a chartered accountant and his passion for that has made him work very hard.
After completion of his degree in the early summer of 2012, he took up the post of assistant with an accountant at the state capital Hyderabad with a meagre stipend to learn more about accountancy.
As he started earning, though very little, he decided that he no longer needed to take financial support from HEAL, although he wanted to stay associated with them and always expresses his gratitude towards HEAL.
His younger brother is now in his third year studying for his Bachelor of Technology and living in the Boys’ Hostel at HEAL Village.
HEAL and Vinay are indebted to Dr VSR Chadalavada for his long and generous support as a child sponsor and hope that he will continue to extend his helping hand in future.
