A recent success story from HEAL is the news that one of its Poverty Trap students, Domala Akhila, has been offered a free seat to study medicine at the Mallareddy Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad.
This is fantastic news as Domala was not fortunate enough to support herself financially through the process owing to her poor upbringing.
Domala, 19, has always been a first class student, attaining excellent results. Her marks in her 10th standard exams put her top in her class at Gowtham Model School, an institute sponsored by HEAL.
She also attained a division first at intermediate level – gaining 932 marks out of a possible 1000 – at Sri Sai Junior College, Bhadrachalam.
HEAL is looking forward to seeing how Domala progresses in her career.
