There are a number of ways in which you can leave a legacy to HEAL.
You need to first consider if you have a will. If you do and you just want to add HEAL as a beneficiary, then your attorney can add a new instruction to your executors called a codicil. This is simple and straightforward.
If you have no will, and a surprising number of people do not, you are strongly advised to seek professional advice from an attorney or accountant. This will ensure that your wishes are carried out correctly and are legally binding.
There are different types of legacy gifts and you will need to decide how you want HEAL to benefit. You can provide for HEAL’s general work or for a specific purpose or project. We will work with you to make sure you money goes where you intend it. Contact us and we can walk you through the process and even provide some sample wording that you may want to take to your attorney or accountant when they are drafting your will.
